My Story
As a student eager to learn and understand what motivates people at work, I came to the United States from India to pursue a Doctoral degree in the field of Industrial & Organizational (I/O) Psychology. During this pursuit, I worked in cafeterias, taught graduate-level courses in Psychology, and worked as a Research Assistant at Emporia State University’s Teachers College. I eventually earned my Ph.D. from Texas A&M University (Gig’Em Aggies!). Later, I forayed into corporate America to use my skillset. After 10 years in the private sector and drafting endless business proposals to increase company revenues, I transitioned into public service. Working in Talent Development, I sought to make a difference in the federal government using sound science and leadership development tools. For the past 8 years I have worked for the United States Government, leading Talent Development programs such as Employee Engagement, Leader Development, Mentoring, and Leadership Coaching. Today, as an independent coach, I enhance my skillset through my varied interests in leadership literature, and sports, as well as my Coach Training certification.
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
